Globalisation: What's It All About

TIDE (2001)

Activities and information aimed at stimulating and supporting classroom work on globalisation and the many questions it raises. Devised by geography teachers, this resource suggests ways of raising questions about some of the key issues, debates and the processes involved and how young people may relate to them at both political and conceptual levels. It includes: - An initial enquiry into globalisation and its main characteristics - A simulation game investigating global trade - Activities on specific aspects of, and controversies about, globalisation - Case studies of globalisation in three very diverse industries Some activities could also be used as in-service materials for geography teachers or as a cross- curricular stimulus.
